All Power America APG3004 Portable Generator - My Personal Review
I grabbed this portable and home generator manufactured by All Power America a couple of months ago on a whim. I was thinking that if a hurricane or other sort of natural disaster strikes, the All Power America APG3004 Portable Generator could serve me well by giving me the backup power that I need.

As it turns out, grabbing the All Power America APG3004 Portable Generator is one of the best purchases I have ever made!

On a Wednesday night and into early Thursday, a category 3 storm - a hurricane strikes on our area. Needless to say, when the smoke cleared, the storm left us with no power - none whatsoever! The basement of my apartment, which is occupied by a tenant was flooded. Something has to be done about it. I decided to fire up the All Power America APG3004 Portable Generator (which is a 2 stroke and 2 HP generator) and plugged in my vacuum cleaner to it. And guess what - it worked great!

By the way, I was surprised that it could handle the load that a 3 HP vacuum put on it - we gained one whole horsepower. Thanks to the All Power America APG3004 Portable Generator, my apartment was cleaned up within an hour and a half!

That night, however, we still had no power. But again, thanks to this portable generator from All Power America, I was able to power up my 47 inch LCD TV, satellite box, DSL modem, and Linksys router. It helped me keep the boredom off! It kept the appliances powered up for 6 full hours with 1 gallon of oil and fuel mixture. Impressive if you would ask me.

On the following night, I still have no power! And it's really getting on my nerves. But no worries - the All Power America APG3004 Portable Generator filled with 1 gallon of fuel and oil mixture and powered up the mentioned appliances (together with my partner's laptop) for full 5 hours.

Mind you, though, the All Power America APG3004 Portable Generator would NOT power my fridge and water pumps, which is pretty understandable. The start up load of the fridge is just too much to handle for my portable generator.

Now it would not power my refrigerator or my water pumps from the Cistern which was a bit disappointing. The startup load of the fridge was just too great.

Along with that, just like any 2 stroke motor, getting it started can be a BIG pain! When you let the gas sit in for a while, the mixture gets a little heavy - preventing the unit from working at its fullest.

HOWEVER, adding a small amount of gas and shaking it resolves this problem pretty easily. Aside from those common issues among portable generators, nothing bad can be said about the All Power America APG3004 Portable Generator.

I'm highly recommending it!
