HOWEVER, the problem with the mentioned brands is that they are really expensive per kilowatt. Not to mention the power they supply is NOT enough. You can go for the 6 to 8 kilowatt models, which is on the other end of the spectrum and can supply power for the whole house. HOWEVER, they are too heavy to move from one room to another.

Anyway, we decided to test it out. For one thing, the generators Honeywell is NOT well known, at least for me and my buddy. BUT we do know that it’s a good brand name. Generators are those equipments that you don’t have to use. BUT when you need it, you really need it and there’s no other way around it.

We started it up upon arrival, and we are amazed at how quiet it is! Not to mention it started really easily. All you have to do is put gas in it and it should be ok. I really recommend that you get it from Amazon. Their Super Saver Shipping meant that we got it FREE on shipping. Aside from that, the price is lower than anything I have seen on its power output range.

As for the performance, we are really impressed. My friend doesn’t have to worry now about another week or so of power outage. The Honeywell HW6200 is there to save the day.

The ETQ TG32P12 - I grabbed this generator for my mom and dad mainly to keep the fridge as well as their freezer up and running during power outages. Also, this should allow them to run small and essential appliances when powerless nights and days strike.

From what I can see, this unit is just right for them. I really love the wheels along with a fold away handle that is included in the package. This makes it easy to port the generator without breaking a sweat – this is pretty much a requisite for older people using the generator. Not to mention it starts REALLY easily and performs quietly.

One minor quibble: The pull start handle is blocked by the front panel. To pull it out, you need to pull the rope partway out, and then pull it out at about a 30 degree angle for starting the motor. While this really isn’t a problem and starting the motor is still easy, I think the rope would wear and tear faster than if you could make a pull straight out to get it running.

Along with that, the oil reservoir needs a long and very narrow funnel for you to fill it. HOWEVER, this is something you got to do only once in a few years. Again, this is no biggie, not an issue to make you sleepless.

Overall, I’m giving the ETQ TG32P12 2 thumbs up!
